The universality of this folding form never fails to intrigue me.
This is an addition to my Close to Home series. As flowers metamorphose into leaves, the “sky holes” create a unique spring light.
In spring’s early morning light future copper leaves are a delicate peach color. I have tested this print on vellum and kozo rice paper over white gold. The effect is very different on each paper and I am not sure which one I like best.
This is a small piece of a very large wall panel where an abstracted guara silhouette lives on richly textured handmade paper.
