When you sign up for a class, you expect to come away with new information and skills. In 2016, I found something far more important – a group of women artists who supported my creative journey. Seven of us from around New England formed a group we dubbed the "Imogenes." Like Imogene Cunningham, we all aspire to make art well into our nineties.
Our Visual Conversation Project, a creative exercise that became a collaborative art exhibit, is returning to the Rhode Island Photo Center for Photo Arts from March 19 to April 10. It includes new visual conversations, an interactive component that invites viewers to join the “conversation,” and small groupings of works by each “Imogene.”
